Ready To Assemble Bridge Kits   (RTA Kit)

Our Ready To Assemble Bridge kits require minimum tools and skills to assemble in as little as a couple of hours.  All that is required is a flat surface and a rivet gun which is supplied with the kit.  All of the required parts that are needed for assembly are included in the kit.

Kits include all of the required bridge structural parts, rivet plates, rivets, rivet gun, plastic end caps (if required) and come prime painted.

Typical assembly time is 1-2 hours for the basic RTA kits.

The RTA kits come to you with all parts cut, sanded and pre-drilled. In addition the parts have been painted with primer paint.  We use precision Drill Jigs to pre-drill the rivet holes.

After the RTA bridge kit is assembled all that is required by the customer is to apply a finish top coat of paint.  (top coat paint not supplied) Pick your paint and color at your local paint supply store.  See our bridge painting tab for more details.

All RTA Bridge Kits come with a detailed assembly manual. If any questions come up Lynell Model Supply can be contacted via e-mail for help with assembly.

Why Buy a RTA Bridge Kit?

The first reason is shipping.  Our All Steel Bridges are very big and heavy.  Currently our smallest bridge weighs in at 21 pounds and at 6 feet long an assembled bridge can be a little bulky and pricey to ship. By sending our bridges out in kit form you save in shipping cost.

Second, the fun and excitement of unpacking your RTA kit, laying out the parts and spending a few hours assembling it.   We still find it exciting to assemble a bridge and watch it transform from a pile of parts to a completed train bridge.  There is always a sense of satisfaction when you complete a project and building one of our bridge kits is no exception.  Your kids and grand kids will find it exciting to see you assemble your bridge.

(Please see our precaution of sharp and small parts.  Please keep these away from children)

Value, our bridges can span 6 feet and more and have the strength and beauty that you want to support your valuable rolling stock for a reasonable cost.

And finally our kits take take only a few hours to assemble and then they are ready to paint with a topcoat paint of your choice of color.   Even with assembly and painting you can have your All Steel Bridge installed on your Railroad in as little as a day. Why spend weeks building a bridge when you can have a precision build, strong and beautiful bridge installed in a matter of a few hours.
